`Couldn’t make the May 19 Zoom? Here’s the highlights:
Science spotlight. Dr Helen Chen explained how YWHAG variants impact gamma protein function and previewed new mouse-model and iPSC data.
Growing family. We’re now 51 registered families. That is up from 35 last fall. We are glad more and more familes are finding our community.
Matched giving. CURE Epilepsy will match every dollar we raise (goal: $50 k) toward a Rare Epilepsy Partnership Award.
Community involvement in research
Blood draws for Simons Searchlight fuel patient-derived neuron studies.
Baby-tooth kits from Tulane let scientists grow nerve cells straight from dental pulp.
Natural-History Study. 20 U.S. families have completed interviews; international enrollment opens next month.
Funding reality check. With potential NIH cuts, community giving is more critical than ever.
Shop the YWHAG Foundation Store: 100% of proceeds fund research.
